A few quotes from previous attendees and the three charities:
"Our family and close friends have thoroughly enjoyed attending this awesome event every year. Not only is the money going to three great causes, but there is a synergy and momentum between the three that makes the evening that much more special."
- Dr. Chuck Sadler
"My husband and I attended the last two years and it keeps getting better. It's a fun (and delicious) way to support local cancer charities. We're excited about the beer tasting for 2013!"
- Melissa Webb
"What a treat to be able to attend a classy and well-run local event, which happens to be organized by caring and passionate neighbors, and supports three amazing local charities at the same time! The organizers of Vines for Life are truly committed to their causes; they have taken personal hardship and turned it in to something positive. We look forward to attending Vines for Life for many years to come!"
- Heidi Hollings
“Last year's Vine For Life program benefited Creating Hope in many ways. It brought many Creating Hope friends together for a spectacular evening, some folks we hadn't seen since Jeanette's passing. Our mission is to provide cancer patients, of all ages, with free art materials in the form of Hope Kits. Our cost for each Hope Kit is approximately fifty dollars. The money we received from the event enabled Creating Hope to provide more than 150 Hope Kits to patients. Our mission is to help patients and family members cope with cancer through self-expression and creativity. We thank all those who helped make the event a huge success..”
- John Gianfagna, Creating Hope
“Thanks to the dollars raised at the inaugural Vines for Life fundraiser, the Indy SurviveOars were able to continue their mission of providing breast cancer survivors a “floating support group”. These monies allowed the team members to update their equipment (paddles, personal floatation devices) and enter races in Evansville, IN; Knoxville, TN; Windsor Canada and Louisville, KY. Year two of Vines for Life support gave us the means to update our web site. Our new and improved web site allows more breast cancer patients to find out about us and promote breast cancer awareness. We also started a grant program with our Vines for Life donation to “Pay it Forward” for all the generosity that has come our way. So far we have awarded two grants to organizations that touched our hearts. Thank you Vines for Life!!
Our dragon boat project is unique as it is helping those living daily with breast cancer and those who are survivors living with the fear “Will this cancer come back.” Indy SurviveOars are providing these women a place where they can escape both physically and mentally. We are so very grateful to the supporters of Vines for Life for their generous donation and continued support”.
- Kathy Harrison, Indy SurviveOars
"Team Luke continues to grow dramatically, offering many ways to be involved. Supporters pull together and participate in community events in order to raise money for cancer research, raise awareness to blood cancers and support a music therapy program for local hospitals called Rhythm Pax, inspired by Luke.
Here is just one of many messages from a family who was touched by Team Luke's mission:
- Vicky Andritsch, Team Luke
Hi Luke,
Our family was so blessed to meet you and your family today at Riley! You were so kind to give our 2 year old little boy who is fighting a battle with Infant ALL a Rhythm Pax - Feel the Cure kit!! You couldn't have picked a better day to do so either, he was scheduled for a procedure today that got pushed back and this amazing kit kept him completely occupied! He was soo busy playing music for all of his doctors and nurses, he didn't even realize his port had been accessed! Thank you so much!!
God bless you and your family!
